The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has officially started in Queensland today, signalling the beginning of a new era in disability services and huge opportunity for new workers to join the sector.

“I am excited to welcome the start of the NDIS rollout in Queensland today, following the early launch of the scheme in Townsville, Charters Towers and Palm Island in January this year,” Mrs O’Rourke said.

This role is varied and fast-paced, and involves strategic oversight as well as ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Cardiac Services unit across both children's hospitals are maintained efficiently and effectively.

A busy Gold Coast Cardiology group is seeking a Cardiac ECG Technician for start in mid September.

The role will include:
Holter and blood pressure monitor placement and removal, lead placement for ECG testing which also includes bike and treadmill testing. The position is for 16-20 hours per week over 3-4 shifts – days and shifts can be negotiated with the right candidate.

The successful applicant must have own transport with current drivers license, as travel between locations on the Gold Coast will be required.
