Dear Rebecca,

Many homeless women have fled domestic violence. For them, sleeping on the cold streets tonight is the better option. Domestic and family violence is the principal cause of homelessness for women and their children. This must stop.  You can help by hosting a White Ribbon Night on Friday 29 July.

If you are looking for ideas, why not cook up a feast, have a movie marathon, or watch the footy, all in the comfort of your own home?

White Ribbon Day 2015

White Ribbon Day: tell the world it matters

Here are our top 3 tips for getting involved this 25 November:

1. Remember why it is important

Domestic violence is the gravest human rights abuse in Australia.

2. Take the new oath

Be a part of the solution: take the oath

Dear Rebecca,

I've just come from a press conference with the Prime Minister. He called family violence in Australia a national disgrace.

And then he announced a $100 million funding package to help address this epidemic. The package aims to improve frontline support and services, leverage innovative technologies to keep women safe, and provide education resources to help change community attitudes.
