Public Speaking: How is this Strategy?

Public Speaking: How is this Strategy?

The Idea Cloud recently held a sold out lunch time learning session for Public Speaking tailored specifically to professional services. One participant asked why strategists would have Public Speaking as a flagship programme?

The answer is simple, there is complexity in public speaking that when strategy is applied, it is possible to see each of the component parts: breathing, eye contact, body language, facial expressions, postureā€¦ and the list goes on. Addressing each element and receiving constructive balanced feedback from a coach can make you see which parts of the formula you need to change or work on and where you are performing well.

When applying a strategic model to public speaking, it is important to understand where power and influence work together. A good way to visualise this is to look at the 2 dimensional power and influence graph as demonstrated below:
As individuals become more proficient with public speaking body language, facial expressions and hand actions start to positively influence more people and consequently the individual becomes more impactful across all aspects in business (and in life). The Idea Cloud Public Speaking workshop equips participants with the building blocks needed to become brilliant public speakers.

Our next sessions are being held in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane on the following dates;

Sydney MGSM on 15th July
Melbourne CBD on 20th August
Brisbane CBD on 28th August

For further information or if you would like to organise a public speaking workshop for yourself or your organisation, The Idea Cloud can do this for 8 people at a date of your choice. Please call Rebecca or Owen on 1300 799 278.
