We work with a number of mining, construction, manufacturing and professional services companies and one question keeps coming up “how much grog is too much?” Our reply is always the same, “well… it depends.” It depends on what other drugs (medically prescribed) you are taking, how much you weigh, how long is it going to be before you operate heavy machinery, how sleep deprived you are, what are your co-morbidities, whether you are male or female etc.
It sounds like an odd conversation for strategists to have, but it isn’t so strange when you start to think about the impact of the night before can have on work the next day. By looking at the alcohol intake across our clients’ staff base we have provided insight and expertise through preventative planning to reduce LTIs, poor customer satisfaction and the potential litigation, and in addition we have improved workforce planning capabilities, increased productivity and even increased revenues.
We believe in PPPPP: Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance and this is what we do best. The Idea Cloud works with clients to look at all elements that impact the day to day operation and revenues streams of businesses. We provide package business services for start-ups and SMEs and carry out business modelling and audits, for larger clients to confirm or not, that their businesses are aligned to their models and strategies. Often we find gaps that once filled empower business leaders and employees alike.
One area where we are receiving fantastic feedback is our Public Performance for Professionals workshops. These are lunch-time workshops designed to introduce and equip participants with the starting blocks for powerful public performances, whether you are meeting and greeting new prospects, presenting to a board or to a full auditorium. We are running series in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne over the next couple of months and would love to see you there, please feel free to contact The Idea Cloud for future events near you.
